"Damascus"

27th July 1998 Damascus, Syria

2nd August 1998 Palmyra, Syria

I'm looking back the time
when I see an old man sitting on a chair
with a stick and he's staring at one point.
In the center of narrow street,
I wonder how old the man is and
what he has seen until now,
until the end of the century.

Damascus, such an old city.
I'm walking around, roaming around.
Damascus, so mysterious.
I was invited, I was supposed to come.
Because I can look back the time,
look back the time, look back the time.

Oh 10 years ago, people came here from the west.
100 years ago, people came here from the east.
1,000 years ago, people came here from the north.
10,000 years ago, people came here from the south.
and right now, people comes here all over the world.

I'm looking back the time
when I see a little boy just playing around with a stick
and he's fighting by himself
At the edge of a narrow street.
I wonder how old he is and what he will see in the future,
in the beggining of the century.

Damascus, it never disappeares from a map.
I can come back here and walk around again.
Damascus, so wonderous.
I'll be invited, I'll never forget.
Because I can turn back the time,
turn back the time, turn back the time.
I'll be here to turn back the time.

Oh 10 years ago, people came here from the south.
100 years ago, people came here from the north.
1,000 years ago, people came here from the east.
10,000 years ago, people came here from the west,
and right now, people comes here from all over the world.

I'm looking back the time
when I see an old man sitting on a chair with a stick.

Syria is the best country amound Islamic countries,
especially the people. Palmyra is my best world heritage
I've ever visited. Still more it was free entrace,
so I could go early in the morning and late afteroon then till sunset.
